Adobe Acrobat Pro DC allows you to turn any PDF with text -- from class papers to club flyers -- into a Word or a PPT online document with just a few clicks. This can really come in handy when you want to edit text more easily or want to use spell check on a document for class.

How to Convert PDF to Word Document Online

  • Download Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
    Acrobat is a powerful and easy to use desktop app. You can download straight from the Creative Cloud app on your computer.
  • Open your PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
    If you want to make edits to the document before changing the file to a Word format, click on “Edit PDF” in the right panel. Check the box “Recognize text” if you’re looking to edit the text in Acrobat. Learn more about everything that Acrobat has to offer here.
  • Open the “Export PDF” page.
    Click “Export PDF” in the right panel, and Acrobat will give you options about which format you want to export the PDF to. Choose Microsoft Word and then click Export.
  • Save your new Word Document.
    A “Save As” box will pop up after you click Export. You can save the file on your computer and upload it straight to your Adobe Document Cloud. Once you click “Save,” Acrobat does the rest of the work, even making the text editable using text recognition technology.
